1. System requirements.

The expert could run on any platforms that are based on the Metatrader 4. Metatrader 3 is not supported. Ask you broker if it support Metatrader 4.

Broker requirements:

•  Ability to set, modify pending orders with at least 7 pips from the price. For example, if ASK=1.2000, the broker should allow set order BUY STOP 1.2007;
•  Ability to trade during news events;

1. Installation.

The expert is updated every week on Sunday from 18:00 to 22:00 by GMT. So you should always use updated version of the expert with fresh economical events.

After downloading you should copy the expert to your expert’s folder. It usually looks like:

C:\Program Files\Metatrader\experts. Then you should restart metatrader. AutoNewsTrader expert now should be present in your experts list.

2. Running.

To run expert simple drag the expert on the chart you would like to trade and analyze. Refer to the documentation of Metatrader 4 section ‘Auto Trading’ for more information.

Here are the parameters used in the expert:

• Trading_Parameters = "---------- Trading Parameters";
• TradeGBP = true – if it is true, then expert will trade GBP events;
• TradeUSD = true – if it is true, then expert will trade USD events;
• TradeCAD = true – if it is true, then expert will trade CAD events;
• AutoTrade = true – if it is true, then expert will initiate automatic trading of events. If it is false – no automatic trading will be performed;
• AutoSettings = true – if it is true, then expert will trade the events that are programmed inside the expert. If it is false – then expert will used user defined variables;
• TimeZone = 2 – default time of news events is GMT. Use this to change hour of event to match chart time settings. It is offset time from GMT and your broker time. For example, if time broker is 15:00 and GMT time is 12:00 TimeZone = 3;
• TradeTime1 = "08:30" – time or date for manual trading news. Valid only if AutoTrade = false. It is usually a time of economic events. The time is GMT. If it is only hour and seconds, the expert will trade everyday. It could also be set as “2006.08.06 08:30”. In this case the expert will initiate trading only at specific date. If TradeTime1=”” then it will not used;
• TradeTime2 = "12:30" – the same as TradeTime1;
• TradeTime3 = "" – the same as TradeTime1;
• StopLoss = 8 – stoploss in setting orders if AutoSettings = false or Autotrade = false;
•  TakeProfit = 20 – take profit in setting orders. Valid if AutoSettings = false or Autotrade = false;
• TrailingStop = 15 – trailing stop of opened orders. Valid if AutoSettings = false or Autotrade = false;
• BreakEven = 8 – if the orders are in profit of BreakEven value, stoploss is moved to open price. Valid if AutoSettings = false or Autotrade = false;
•  BuyDelta = 8 – pips for adding to ASK price to set up BUY STOP order. Valid if AutoSettings = false or Autotrade = false;
• SellDelta = 8 – pips for subtract from BID price to set up SELL STOP order. Valid if AutoSettings = false or Autotrade = false;
•  SetSeconds = 30 – how many seconds before news out we should initiate setting orders. Valid if AutoSettings = false or Autotrade = false;
• CancelSeconds = 30 – how many seconds wait to cancel orders after news events passed. Valid if AutoSettings = false or Autotrade = false;
• SetSell = true – if it is true – expert will set SELL STOP orders, otherwise it will not set. Valid ifAutoSettings = false or Autotrade = false;
•  SetBuy = true – if it is true – expert will set BUY STOP orders, otherwise it will not set. Valid if AutoSettings = false or Autotrade = false;
•  Slippage = 1 – slippage in setting orders. In most cased should stay default.
•  MM_Parameters = "---------- Money Management";
•  Lots = 0.1 – trading lot if MM = 0;
•  MM = true – if it is true than trading lot will be calculated based on the margin and Risk value;
•  AccountIsMini = true – Use mini-account or not. If it is false, the trading lot will be as 1, 2, 3 …. If it is true, trading lot will be as 0.1, 0.2, 0.3;
•  Risk = 20 – risk in percent to calculate trading lot. As stoploss is very tight, it could be from 20 to 30;
• Ind_Parameters = "---------- Indicator Parameters";
• DrawEvents = true – enable to draw economic events;
• LineStyle = 1 – default line style for drawing events. Could be one of the following:
  0 - The pen is solid.
  1 - The pen is dashed.
  2 - The pen is dotted.
  3 - The pen has alternating dashes and dots.
  4 - The pen has alternating dashes and double dots
• LineThickness = 0 – default line thickness. Could be 0, 1, 2 …;
• HighColor = Magenta – default color for high priority events;
• LowColor =Yellow – default color for low priority events.
• TradeColor = Red – default color for trading events.
• HideLabel = true – hide label in drawing lines;
• DeleteEvents = true - optionally remove lines when indicator is removed.
• ShowUSD = true – show USD events;
• ShowEUR = false – show EUR events;
• ShowGBP = true – show GBP events;
• ShowJPY = false – show JPY events;
• ShowCHF = false – show CHF events;
• ShowCAD = false – show CAD events;
• ShowAUD = false – show AUD events;
• ShowNZD = false – show NZD events;
• ShowUpcomingEvents = true – show on the chart upcoming events before AlertTime;
• Alert_Parameters = "---------- Alert Parameters";
• TradeAlert = true – pop up and sound alert for trading events;
• HighAlert = false – pop up and sound alert for high priority events;
• LowAlert = false - pop up and sound alert for low priority events.
• AlertTime = 30 - minutes before alert events;
• Snooze = 60 - alarm rings every 60 seconds until event time has passed or turned off by user;
• TradeEmail = false – send e-mail for trading events;
• HighEmail = false – send e-mail for high priority events;
• LowEmail = false – send e-mail for low priority events;
• EmailTime = 30 – minutes before events to send e-mail;
• EmailCount = 1 – how many times send e-mail alert;
• Others_Parameters = "---------- Others Parameters";
• TradeLog = "AutoNewsTraderLog" – file for log. Used for debug purpose.
• LockingTime=90 – lock time in seconds before actual setting orders to support tickles and accuracy trading. For example, if you set up the TradeTime1=”15:30” and SetSeconds=30 the expert will be locked at 15:30:30-90 seconds. During locking time you cannot change any parameters of the expert;
  
  

1) Attach the expert on the GBPUSD chart with next parameters:

• TradeGBP = true;
• TradeUSD = false;

2) Attach the expert on the EURUSD chart with next parameters:

• TradeGBP = false;
• TradeUSD = true;
